First Love/Worst Love, premiering at the third annual Hollywood Fringe Festival, is an examination of love and its mutability, expressed through five actors and twelve short stories on one stage in 25 minutes. Two-minute tales of love’s peaks and pitches interweave with one another, traversing disappointment, passion, caution, faith, indolence, dread, fury, and, perhaps most importantly of all, hope.

Starring: Hayley S. Williams, Maggie Lehman, Anna Moon, Len Davies, and Seth Burnham.
Original music: Kyle Fredrickson
Written + produced: Rebecca Cox
Directed + produced: Julie Civiello
Produced: Ben Pollack

The “First Love/Worst Love” cast (and its director, Julie Civiello)! What beauties they are, no? xx - RC

How will you stay in love next time? (first love/worst love)

How will you stay in love next time? What will you do differently? You’ll listen to Motown with greater curiosity, brought to surprising sobs by the tragedies of Tammi and Marvin. Your cyclamen will not be neglected. You will swear less. You will learn how to perfect spaghetti Bolognese. You will not assume anything.

Heads up, Angelenos, theatre-aficionados, love lovers, and tale tellers, First Love/Worst Love takes the stage at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. Click the link for the serious scuttlebutt. More details to follow. xx

how will you stay (minutelovestory #56)

You will not pass verdicts in an accusatory way, proclaiming ‘Your sense of smell is bad’ or ‘You aren’t a good dancer’, then attempt to back away from such statements like bloody roadkill that’s crept onto the sidewalk.
